PARKLAND, FL – Today, Stand with Parkland, the National Association of Families for Safe Schools, announced its support for Stephanie Murphy, candidate for Florida's U.S. House of Representatives District 7. The advocacy organization was founded by all 17 families of the victims of the tragic shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and is dedicated to making schools safe for students and teachers across the country. "Violence in our schools affects everyone. It is an American epidemic, and it is time that we all come together to do something about it. This is why we are committed to supporting policymakers, regardless of their political affiliation, who are dedicated to making our schools safer.
